Davis Diesel head The Davis Diesel head is a quality product. The add boasts of up to 50% more power - THEY'RE NOT KIDDING! It has extreme power, most of which is low end. There are a few things you need to do to your truck for the diesel conversion to work. *You must break in your engine on glow. DO NOT put the diesel head on a brand new engine.* You need diesel fuel line, the fuel that is used with the head will eat normal fuel line, the o-ring in the lid of your fuel tank must be changed to black o-rings that you can get in your local hardware store and of course, you need the Davis Diesel ½ A fuel. As far as performance goes, it has monster low end, but is no faster than a glow engine. Although there's no class for diesel racing, it sure is a lot of fun to have all that power. The run times are better than they are on glow, as your settings are much leaner. It tends to throw a lot of smoke and the fuel, if you get it on you, will smell for a week. Overall, I like the product and would like to see a class for diesel racing in the future.
